HOME’s proven step-by-step process was specifically designed to provide one-on-one assistance and refer only the finest senior housing options for your loved one.
Placement assistance for any level of care – physical or mental or both. For example, a resident may need incontinence or catheter care, diabetic injection/s, have Alzheimer’s/Dementia – due to wandering, sun downing or behaviors, mobility issues or simply just memory loss and needing medication assistance.
HOME understands how difficult this process can be. Our goal is to locate the best senior community for your loved one—a place they can call home, be treated with dignity and respect, and receive tender loving care our seniors deserve.
Family Support
We advocate that seniors stay in their homes until the home situation becomes unsafe or cost prohibitive. HOME is experienced in assessing when placement is necessary and recommends the best housing fit available for the level of care required. We are proud of our reputation for responding quickly in a time of crisis.

Experience Matters
HOME is locally owned and operated by Janet M. Kelly, a Gerontologist and senior advocate.
Janet has worked in the healthcare field since 1978, including a position as Director of Marketing for Home Health Care, which is where she discovered her passion for working with seniors. Janet obtained a degree in Gerontology and started HOME to work more closely with the senior population. Her own experiences of trying to find appropriate housing for her parents has helped her understand the importance of hands-on assistance during the process. Janet can empathize with decisions you face because she has been through the journey herself.
Why we’re unique
- HOME has visited and evaluated more than 800 senior communities in the Greater Sacramento area – includes all of Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado and Yolo Counties.
- We keep our database current – important for families to know we pull from all large and small licensed Communities and Care Homes. One may be on your street or around the corner.
- No conflicts of interest – we don’t own or have any financial interest in any Community or Care home.
• We personally meet with you to evaluate the needs of your loved one. - We do not eliminate options based on our compensation. Therefore, you can be sure that the quality of our referrals is sincere and based on what is best for your loved one.
- We follow-up with your loved one during the first month of placement to ensure the transition is going smoothly.
- After two months, we mail a survey to you to rate the quality of care that is being received as well as rate the services provided by HOME. The first and second year we send a card to follow up on how satisfied you have been with the move.
- Janet Kelly, owner holds a degree in Gerontology (the study of the social, psychological, and biological aspects of aging), and has over 35 years of experience in the healthcare field.
