Family Support

We advocate that seniors stay in their homes until the home situation becomes unsafe or cost prohibitive. HOME is experienced in assessing when placement is necessary and recommends the best housing fit available for the level of care required. Experience Matters

HOME is locally owned and operated by Janet M. Kelly, a Gerontologist and senior advocate.

Janet has worked in the healthcare field since 1978, including a position as Director of Marketing for Home Health Care, which is where she discovered her passion for working with seniors. Janet
obtained a degree in Gerontology and started HOME to work more closely with the senior population. Her own experiences of trying to find appropriate housing for her parents has helped her understand the importance of hands-on assistance during the process. Janet can empathize with decisions you face because she has faced them herself. HOME’s long-term staff has experience with seniors and their needs.

• We have visited and evaluated more than 650 senior communities in the greater Sacramento area.
• We personally evaluate the needs of your loved one.
• We do not eliminate options based on our compensation from senior communities. Therefore, you can be sure that the quality of our referrals is sincere and based on what is best for your loved one.
• We follow-up with your loved one during the first month of placement to ensure the transition is going smoothly.
• After two months, we mail a survey to you to rate the quality of care that is being received as well as rate the services provided by HOME. One year later, we send a card to follow up on how satisfied you have been with the move.
• We are available after hours and on weekends if you need immediate attention.
• The owner holds a degree in Gerontology (the study of the social, psychological, and biological aspects of aging), and has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare field.
